Aero Medical Center

At Aero Medical Center (AeMC) we perform medical examinations for commercial pilots, flight engineers, air traffic controllers, private pilots, stewards/stewardesses, glider pilots and others that need a medical certificate to be allowed to conduct flights, all in accordance with the regulations of the European Aviation Safety Agency - EASA (1178/2011)

One of our AME ‘s (Aviation Medical Examiner) performs medical examinations for those that have a license with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A special appointment needs to be made for this type of checkup.

  • Aero Medical Center (AeMC) has permission from the Icelandic Transport Authority to issue a 1. Class medical certificate for the first time.
  • Nowhere else in the area can a 1. Class medical certificate be given out for the first time (AeMC is also located in Akureyri)
